My First Blog Post

With so many travel ideas buzzing around my brain it’s strange how difficult putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys in this case) and writing my first blog post feels. Rather than diving straight in with solid, topical blog content I have decided to briefly tell my travel tales to date to get a feel for the type of travel I have experienced in the past…

So, as a child my family and I would holiday all over Europe every summer to destinations like Greece, Menorca, Spain etc. Guaranteed sunshine, all inclusive hotels and beach-front location were always top of the agenda and the shorter the flight time the better (mum’s a nervous flyer). As my brother and I got older Tunisia was added to our summer holiday hotlist!

Until the age of 18 family summer holidays were the only taste of travel I had experienced, it’s fair to say from then on I have packed in a fair few holidays, city breaks and even a move abroad! From European city breaks to Prague, Amsterdam and Paris to a move to the southern hemisphere for a university exchange programme, one thing is certain- I cannot spend the rest of my life in one place.

Although this is an extremely brief account of 21 years of travel it does set the scene very well to where I am now: graduating university, endless travel plans and full of ambition to explore the world…
