Love has majorly been in the air this summer. I’ve had family weddings, engagements and millions of day dates with my boyfriend. Most recently my lovely aunt and uncle got married and it was such a beautiful wedding, I have lots of photos to share so enjoy!
The Fennes is the wedding venue of dreams! The beautiful Georgian manor house is set in the middle of the countryside with plenty of outdoor spaces to create the ultimate setting for the wedding of the year. With romantic gazebos, plenty of cosy sitting rooms and a lake complete with disney princess style arch bridge the Fennes creates such an intimate, romantic atmosphere.
The ceremony room was decorated so beautifully with draping sheer fabrics and twinkling lights. Then this was seamlessly transformed into the dining room as guests tucked into canapes and explored the grounds. From start to finish the whole day was perfect. Major props to my lovely aunt for all the hard work she put into organising the day, every single detail was so thought out and beautifully tied together the day. Finally, the staff were super lovely! Soooo welcoming, friendly and helpful – they do the amazing venue justice.
What I ate (& drank)
Drinks were supplied very generously, with peach and raspberry mimosas or beers on arrival, wine at dinner and a pretty reasonable bar. After the ceremony we ate some yummy canapes while waiting for dinner. Then at dinner we were fed a delicious 3 course meal of prawn cocktail, chicken roast and meringue dessert. Later on the buffet opened! For all those (me) who has worked up an appetite on the dancefloor there were more party nibbles to carry you through to midnight.
What I wore
I’d been looking for an outfit foreverrrrr. But when I saw this skirt I fell in love, then I just needed to work out the rest of the outfit.
So the outfit is: skirt asos, bodysuit Fashion Union, shoes next, bag zara, fascinator a gift.
Needless to say the whole day was perfect. The icing on the cake… I caught the bouquet!
