5 Reasons to Visit St. Louis, Missouri

With around 20,000 cities, you could never find yourself short of city break options in the USA. I envy you stateside friends. Deciding where to visit next has got to be the only downside of all this choice. Well, there’s no need to think to hard, because St. Louis, Missouri, is where it’s at! I’m already sold on the idea of a weekend break here, but in case you’re not, let me give you five reasons to visit St. Louis.

1. To get that Gateway Arch shot for Instagram

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know how much I love a touristy snap. The Gateway Arch is an enormous, 630-foot tall monument and an iconic feature of the St. Louis skyline. Not only can you take a great shot from the ground with this monster in the background, but you can also head up to the Observatory Deck and take in views across the city and beyond.

Hotels close to the Arch start at $81 per night.

2. Heaps more monuments and museums to get that culture kick

4. Summertime fairs and festivals

This summer St. Louis plays host to countless events. With a summer schedule jam-packed with festivals celebrating music, beer, culture, and art, Forest Park is the place to be. If your July 4 plans are still open, why not party with Akon at Fair Saint Louis?

Hotels close to Forest Park start at $159 per night.

5. Finally, beer

What better way to end my five reasons to visit St. Louis than with a pint? The Anheuser-Busch brewery offers tours and beer school for a fun and informative experience. Beers in the name of education? I’m down! If you’ve had enough of the tourist activities, check out The Biergarten.

Hotels close to Anheuser-Busch Brewery start at $101 per night.

Thanks to the food, beer, culture, and monuments, there’s no reason not to visit St. Louis. But if you’re looking for just one more reason to visit, check out the great hotel deals in the area. I think a weekend break here is a trip not to miss.
